ได้ข่าวจากคุณดอน @smartbrain นักข่าวไอทีของ Bangkok Post Database ที่สนิทกันมาสักพักแล้วว่า คุณดอนจะออกจาก Post ซึ่งก็ไม่ได้ถามเหตุผลว่าเพราะเหตุใด

วันนี้มาได้อ่าน Database ก็เจอ "คอลัมน์สั่งลา" ของดอน อ่านๆ ไปก็พบ "คอลัมน์สั่งลา" ของคนอื่นด้วย พลิกไปพลิกมาพบ "หมายเหตุจาก บ.ก." ที่ด้านหน้าสุดเป็นกรอบเล็กๆ (ซึ่งผมมองข้ามไป) สรุปว่าเซ็คชัน Database จะปิดตัวเองลง ฉบับนี้เป็นฉบับสุดท้าย (รีบเก็บกลับบ้านเป็นที่ระลึกทันใด)

สรุปว่า Bangkok Post ตัดสินใจปิดเซคชัน Database และเปลี่ยนเป็นเซคชันใหม่ชื่อ LIFE หน้าตาจะเป็นอย่างไรคงต้องดูกันสัปดาห์หน้า

ในฐานะแฟนประจำบ้างไม่ประจำบ้าง ก็ขอไว้อาลัยให้แก่ Database ซึ่งผมยกให้เป็น "สื่อไอทีที่ดีที่สุดในประเทศไทย" (เทียบจากสิ่งพิมพ์ภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษทั้งหมด) มา ณ ที่นี้

From My 3.9G Concerns (in Thai)

Don, as usual, seems to know my mind and clarify many issues on 3.9G by asking Dr Natee Sukonrat, Head of 3.9G at NTC, a lot. While Natee did not answer all questions, I think he learn that there are numbers of concerns left to discuss.

Very good article and everybody in Thailand who care about 3.9G project must read this After all the waiting games, Thailand looks set to leapfrog 3G.

The recent fiasco over the YouTube banning has highlighted how we need a Ministry of ICT and not a ministry of communications that includes a bit of IT and media.

The above paragraph convince me again that Don is my favorite Thai columnist. This article also contains my quote (just only one sentence), which are from email conversation with him last week.
