I have some idea from web development with Kindle 3 but the technical detail of Kindle 3 browser is very scarce. Every promotional materials say it's 'WebKit-based' but no one knows what version it is.
Thanks to this WebKit Detection Script found on webkit.org. Now I know Kindle 3 Browser is based on WebKit 528.5.
Interestingly, it's WebKit nightly build.
For your (and my) convenience, the detection page is available here.
Additional information: Android 2.3 Browser is running on WebKit 533.1 and Chrome 9.0.597.67 runs WebKit 534.13.

Thanks for the checking page.
Thanks for the checking page. It works well with my epiphany and chromium. However, it fails to report WebKit version for Midori. Despite the fact that it's actually based on WebKit, the page reads:
Your browser does not use WebKit.
Your WebKit version is not at least 418.1.
You are not surfing Mobile.
