my current pretty-good Samsung whose JVM won’t run anything that didn’t come with the phone.

I think the JVM implemented at Samsung is not good.Some Samsung mobile phone 's jvm is so poor that java game can't run on it. Other mobile phone is better, I hit Samsung.
